Issue Report: Crashes occasionally (it might not be that random anymore)
My Steam has crashed three times today. The first two times I didn't have terminal output, but now I have, although there isn't much there.
success = yes

/home/tomin/Steam/ rivi 255: 5488 Muistialueen ylitys (luotiin core-tiedosto) $DEBUGGER "$STEAMROOT/$PLATFORM/$STEAMEXE" "$@"

"Muistialueen ylitys" is segmentation fault in English AFAIK, but I'll check that with C locale when it crashes next time (starting steam with LANG=C steam). Where can I find that core-file that it created (at least it claims to have created)? What other information I could give?

I don't see much connection between crashes, instead they just happen. First time my computer was alone loading games. The second time I was using Steam (I think I was) and the last time I was playing videos on MythTV and I didn't use Steam at all. Every time Steam was downloading games though.

Here is the system information from Steam (LANG is usually fi_FI.UTF-8), sorry about that it's in Finnish, but I can give it in English if requested:

I think I know how I can reproduce the crash. Steam didn't crash until I left it to downloading screen for a longer time. So to reproduce try this:
Downloads some games (or multiple games, I used two).
Leave Steam to downloading screen.
Wait until it crashes. :)

Now I'm going to leave Steam loading when some other screen (store, community, etc.) is displayed and see if it crashes again.
My Steam client also crashes when I leave it to download TF2, irrespective of whether it is displaying Library, Store, Community, etc. I have a slow line and it is set to take a number of hours. I receive no error or crash report, I simply come back and to find that Steam is no longer running.

I think opening the dowloading screen (even once) matters more than what the Steam is displaying. I'll do some more testing today.
