Issue Report: Space Pirates and Zombies
I've noticed on significant problem with SPAZ... If anything happens that causes another application to pop up a new window - you can't regain control of the SPAZ window most of the time. That is, you can select the window, but the game never responds to keyboard/mouse events.

This can really suck if you were just about to pull off a major victory when the other app interrupts - because you can't even shut down the game without killing MainThrd from a command line... much less save before doing so.

Tested with Unity desktop on Ubuntu 12.10.

Edit: This was while playing in windowed mode, of course.

Note: This doesn't happen everywhere in the game. For instance... if you use the super key to get to the Dash during the title screen... you can get back in the game fine.

Edit: I take that back. It appears to be time-dependent, somehow. I was able to hit escape to get to the main menu, Super-key out of the game window., then select the game window and continue. Then, I did the same thing, except left the game alone for a while and brought up a few program windows. Upon re-selecting the game window, I was no longer able to use the keyboard or mouse (nore use the window close button).

I'm also seeing this exact issue... I wonder if turning off "Capture Mouse to Screen" will fix it though. I'll try that when I have the chance.

Well, that was good timing, I just had the chance to check it. Disabling Capture Mouse to Screen fixes it for me.

I have had this problem during both windowed and full screen mode. It seems like the only focus stealing going on are Steam achievement notifications. Is it possible to disable them?
