I'm using Steam Beta Update, don't know if in the normal "Steam Client" it's out yet.
Using Ubuntu 12.10

I got an icon like that when I installed the my-humanity icon theme (what someone expects the icons in 13.04 to look like), I like it it blends really well.

Frankly, the menu for the tray icon still takes far too long to load imo, (kde).

That or a neutral one would be nice indeed (though really not a priority), I barely see mine now (light theme)

The icon itself is not bad, but it'd be nice to have an .xbm icon which colour could blend with the text colour, or at least the dark version of the current one.

The Gnome 3 looks pretty good, but I think that the cinnamon is almost identical :)

I actually thought my steam had closed because it's s hard to see the icon on my current theme.
