Help With Killing Floor Perks on Linux

Hello all!

I recently bought Killing Floor through steam on my Ubuntu 12.04 machine. The game runs fine, but I am puzzled at one problem, my perks won't upgrade. Countless times I have been playing on Multi player Servers (Unmodified Servers), and I have reached Sharpshooter lv2. Only problem is, at the end of the map, my perk always goes back to lv1 (39 head-shots). I have had the same exact problem with levelling the berserker. When playing on single player, SOMETIMES it will keep the stats, (maybe 20% of the time). Any help would be much appreciated, as I am tired of levelling up to sharpshooter lv2 over and over.

Alright thanks, I'll try it on a server I've never played on before, but that still doesn't explain the single player issues :/

Make sure you join a server that isn't running mutators that aren't whitelisted.

I saw this comment: "yes, if you have all the mutators that are running on the multiplayer server in your client's file structure as if you intend to host the game yourself, then perks are saved."

So Im going to see if the servers that I like to play on have grey/blacklisted mutators (Probably do) if so, I will see if I can download the mutators to my client folders.

Sadly, after talking with the server owner, and downloading all of the server mutators into my client folder, I am left just as frustrated as before...

That's because those mutators are probably blacklisted, if you use them you can't level your perk.

No, They were all whitelisted.

Alamist, any solution yet, I just uninstalled Steam, deleted all game and Steam folders remaining, played with no joy. I did find this in another thread I will try now:
"Thanks for the tip, I've been religiously quiting before changing level, played about 4 maps and so far it has been saving progress."

Seemed to have worked so far, I began leveling up again with my perks.

At least they works normally in solo.

if I remember correctly there was a bug in the linux version that made you unable to level when any mutators are turned on. Both whitelisted and graylisted mutators cause this.

This seems to be the case, perks saving on no servers if I wait until map change, and on some servers if I disconnect before map change. Very annoying.

Maybe i write a script that copies the cache content to normal dirs, then it might work directly. What i mainly used was the Host mode, then others can play with you too.
