Official news about it there aren't, but probably Steam Linux will be released in February 2013

Part of it is just a my impression, but also to feel different sources seems this perspective ;)

I predict Steam Linux will launch with 100 titles minimum. Including Valves own, but remember this...

Ubuntu 12.04.1 coming out in January, which is 12.04 with some major updates (features important for gaming like 'unredirect fullscreen windows' in compiz by default etc) and rumor is that Steam is going out after, like someone has mentiond, propably February.

12.04.1 was released in late August 2012. You must be thinking 12.04.2, which is slated to be released January 31st 2013 (assuming we survive the Mayan apocalypse).
