Issue: Aquaria crashes after first loading bar

Started the game in full screen mode and it resized the desktop resolution down to 800 x 600. Aquaria then displayed the first loading bar and crashed once it filled leaving the system in the lower resolution

Still no news about this? I have read several messages about this force close, dating back from months, and still no solution? I just installed Steam and just bought Aquaria filled with excitement, but of course as you all noticed it doesn't even start, so if that's what I'm to expect, I'll leave it soon enough...
