CentOS now has a Special Interest Groups
Well it looks like CentOS may end up targeting all users from the Desktop to OpenStack Etc and IIRC CentOS did kick but as a desktop OS also as it has really good support from Redhat so this is (in my book) the best LTS Alternative to Debian/Ubuntu and OpenSUSE Etc also they pointed out that the Desktops will not have the LTS lifecycle's so you will get newer desktops packages maybe even Mesa Drivers Etc without installing a newer OS :) this will make it a little bit like a well tested rolling release the desktops in CentOS 7 so far are KDE and Gnome 3+

far as i know RHEL updates its software over the lifecycle like Fedora and CentOS will do the same seeing how it's based on RHEL

Been a Fedora user for the past 11 years (yes, since release 1) and this actually makes much more sense. I may end up having Fedora on one of my laptops and CentOS as my main Desktop.
This could make a good alternative to Debian and could make for a good long term supported desktop OS. I don't think they should refer to them as "special interest groups." That phrase has a negative connotation.
