It changed the resolution of the Game, after i used ALT + tab or other function of KDE plasma.
Hi @ All,
i hope somebody can help me
I play "Europa Universalis IV" and after i use ALT+Tab or a other function to switch on desktop or minimize the game, the resolution of the game was changed and i can't change it back, without a restart of the game.

I tried:
SET LAUNCH OPTION: - windowed
-> do not help

I changed ingame option to window mode.
-> This is the best solution at the moment, but i must use arrow keys to change the position and small parts of the game-content are cover up by window border.

first use shift + tab to be in the steam mode
-> do not help

System Details:
Kubuntu!
plasma-desktop 4:4.8.5-0
ubuntu 0.33.2.0-63-generic
kdebase-runtime 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.2
Kernel linux-image-3.2.0-61

Thank you for all help and all ideas!

Bye Meho

Well, sadly you are maybe even lucky :(

I do not own EU IV but Crusader Kings II … with the same game engine. There have been some versions of the game where alt-tabbing under Linux just led to a crash. I believe it is not a KDE/Linux problem – but probably a problem with the game.

If you want to report this go to the original Paradox Forums page that should be the better choice.

The Linux support of the games is somehow still a bit new for Paradox. Some things improved over time now though. Maybe they will fix it in the future. :) Good luck!
