0.54 Issues (crashes, mem leaks, low fps) and upcoming Hotfix

Please remember to use the -dologs launch parameter to generate crashdumps as explained below!

How to change to experimental.

As some of you are probably aware the latest stable branch update introduced some nasty issues/bugs.

Devs are aware of these problems and are working on fixing them.
Read more about the upcoming hotfix here[forums.dayzgame.com].

The issues aren't affecting everyone and in some cases they can be fixed by removing launch parameters and validating files as explained here.

Devs are also asking for some help isolating the issues some are experiencing. Please read this thread[forums.dayzgame.com] on the official forum.

What the above thread is asking for is to create chrashdumps (logs) and then uploading them to the feedback tracker.

WAY TO GO on the latest update.....NOT!

What a stellar update this has been. After playing last night until just before the weekly server maintenance with no issues, now the game barely runs. I'm getting a max FPS of 7 frames per second, and that's with a i7 960, 12 gigs of memory with a GTX 980. Honestly, the issues with the frame rates have been a problem since the onset of this game but at least it was manageable up until last nights update.

So I guess we should expect a patch for the patch in what? Two, to three weeks? Every time I get back into this game, something comes along to push me away. First it was all the hacking, which I must admit Bohemia has actually began addressing to the point where the game was once again enjoyable. Now that I feel like I can put in some time and effort toward building a character without having to worry that some F-TARD is going to come along and strip me of everything without ever having a face to face engagement, this patch almost does me in because I spawn in and get chased by 4 Zombies at a staggering 7 FPS trying to kill them all. I was able to get out of that jam but there is no point in getting back in game with it operating at that level of lameness. I sure hope we are not having to wait weeks for you to resolve this latest issue.

Come on guys, your getting closer and closer to your goal and then you take several steps back?

Dayz is unloading before my eyes

I was hiding in a house to take a breather and look at my steam overlay. as soon as i left the overlay, i dropped to 7 frames, everything started to turn blocky and low res, and the house i was in became invisible. Its just like when you join a server.

only 5-10 frames everywhere
houses are invisible inside
and body parts like arms or head or hands look like cubes or blocks

i hope someone knows how to fix

Same Problem here. Just frames drop from 75 fps in woods too fixed 15 fps.

Theres supposed to be a fix, deleteing some legacy file and validating the game, but it was really vague so I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

Dayz error almost makes me vomit

New update...i get serious "quality drop" in a few seconds of game, than it crashes....when start the game again, I load in - but spinning around really fast...it has been 5 minutes since I turned the game off and i am still dizzy...almost vomited from that :-/ hoping for soon fix

If a few seconds of spinning on a screen made you want to vomit, that might be something you wanna get looked at. If you left it on for a few minutes and stared intently at the screen trying to feel sick... You might want to get that looked at.

i was playing yesterday at 60-35 fps ... new patch walk around for 10min then gose to 1 fps...

The old launch parameters no longer work and should be removed. Extremely low FPS and memory leaks are likely to occur if you do not remove them.

I removed parameters but still, in situations i need to use aim game crashed with some kind of wacky error message about memory. I validate the game and everything i can do is try not to be killed.... any ideas what´s going on?

Tried the launch parameters, tried deleting cfg with all the saved settings, tried reinstalling game. Remap keys for lefty use twice which takes a while.
Still not playable after a few mins in game it stutters badly however my fps seems ok, it's not like 0.53 where the fps would drop to 15 or so at times, my meter is still reading 60-100fps when this stuttering happens, ping is good (20 give or take 5) Bandwidth seems stable (280-320) dsync 0.
