Quake 4 beta in Xbox Insider Hub

If you want to try new beta for Quake 4. You can download Xbox Insider Hub from Windows Store and join the beta. It is really good to see the support for this game from Bethesda and Microsoft. Good work!

Seems like they've got more robust resolution support (1440p, 4k by default in the menu options without tweaks) and have corrected the texture bug (something you previously had to edit ini files to fix).

There might be more but it's a good first impression. Hopefully they patch the Steam version with the same update.

I downloaded it and decided to give it a try. Is there a way to remove the 62fps cap to 144fps instead or will that break the game?

I don't think quake tweaker would work on this version because of how MS games work on their platform but if it does I might give it a try.

Looks like they're supporting better resolutions and have fixed the graphical issue from Steam version that doesn't load textures properly. Hopefully Steam and GOG release can get the same version after it goes live.

This right here... You can tell the difference from the players hand when he is holding the standard rifle. Also wishing for controller support on launch of this essential remaster.
