Have you figured out a favorite weapons set up? (six shooter and magbombs are my favorite)

What sectors have you found the most rare cargo in?
What enemies do you steer clear of? Damn those space jelly fish!

Here's a universe I'm working on, based on the Tree of Life. You can travel from Sephiroth to Sephiroth based on what pathwork you want to do. So far I have Malkuth, Netzah, Hod, Yesod, Tiphareth, Gevurah, Hesed... maybe another. Good times. The sector pass on Gevurah takes some doing. Also have Trinity, Ancient, and Sunhammer. As far as upgrades, I usually grab the suit upgrade first (but only because I start with the tool upgrade), then the next tool upgrade, with supplies along the way as needed. Lately I've been trying to save my caps to get better upgrades, rather than little stuff along the way.

DR.PEPPER is the easiest to score large in. Unfortunately I got to get ready for work. I had scores in the 10k but "crashes issues" (!!!! ***That I finally found out how to fix*** !!!!) Kept me from being able to post them. I dont have time right now to go back and try for another great score BUT you guys most likely will. Just get Bomb launcher by level 8 and you will see huge freaking points go ballistic.

PS: run the client in "Beta" pass word is "ateb" It's like a secret almost :P

I'm going to grab me a sector pass and head to DR.PEPPER tonight after work!
It's often more effective to place three or four bombs around the room and then blow them then 'hunt' enemies. I often place bombs to make cargo fall down and open up to the next container as well as a couple on the enemies I want to kill and then blow them all up. Also it's a very satisfying feeling ;)
magbombs are AWESOME, if not hard to master. I love standing below a level of enemies and placing bombs under their feet, blowing them up and having cargo and caps rain down on me. Or coming up on some enemies from space and blowing up the wall next to them and watch as they pour out into the cold vastness and die.
Also, on the topic of magbombs, getting the magbomb immunity and then the angry bombs make you a bit of a god.
When you are done with the first container and several others has latched on it is sometimes a good idea to jump out to the furthrest one and start there and going back, giving you more time to finnish the container you are on when the black hole strikes. (since the furthers containers break first)
Thats a really great strategy TomWolf! Working your way back might let you budget your time better.
And ya, I can't tell you how many times my own brilliant magbomb trap has blown up in my face. That magbomb immunity is REALLY helpful haha

All of the ingame tips are actually great, I think they cover quite a lot.

I'll share a few strategies I like using. Before you pull in your first containers, drill the corners of your home container out. This makes coming back to your container easier. Granted, this might sometimes let monsters into your container, but I think the pro of not suffocating outweighs the con of the occasional monster entering your container. Another tip is when you see a square container (which always contains a big box) do not drill right in the center of each side of the square. The box will sometimes fall out of the container if you do this. Also, when you see one of those big blue boxes, stand ontop of it and drill down. If you drill to the side of the box, you might push the box out into space. In addition, when you see a big blue box, make sure you have an escape exit already drilled out. The big blue box might contain a mutant or an explosive.

*once you obtain the weapon locker upgrade that stays in your home you can have up to 3 weapons at your disposal. at the beginning of the game, do not take the weapon from the locker. find a weapon in space that is different from what is in the locker. once your character is equipped with 2 weapons and has a locker weapon that is not the same as the 2 that are equipped you are good to go.

for example: my character started with a nailgun and a magbomb in the locker. i leave the magbomb in the locker and now go out into space to find a 6shooter. i can now go back home and swap for any combination. be careful to not take from the locker when you have the same weapon equipped or you will permantly 'take' the weapon from the locker.

*upgrade weapon damages and aim for the head
*only use scanners for the ultra rare items. you can also use the scanners on question marks(the items you have not yet found).

I don't know how common this feature is, but if you're trying to get hats, GALWORTH has a container in it with many mini and standard spawn crystals and a tunnel along the bottom. Paired with the six shooter, you can farm a lot of hats easily, as zoms line up to get you at the end of the tunnel. If they threaten to overtake you it's easy to drill out.
