Q3 Graphic Bug

Hello I have a strange graphic bug. Everytime I launch Quake 3 Arena after about 5 secs the screen become more darky. I tried changing some options, turning off steam community for it but nothing has changed. Any ideas how to solve it?

Iv got the same issue man, the game is playable...sorta, you just have to go through the menus (if you can guess what it is your pressing) and get into a match, maps and stuff load as normal for me

not for me, it just stays darky in the same way as in menu...
