Low Violence

I have a dire problem.

I don't want to explain much, but I don't live in germany, nor Australia, but have the low Violence versions of HL2 and the episodes. It's because I had to buy them from there, once again, I don't want to explain why for personal reasons.

The thing is that I don't live there and therefore don't have to play with the low violence versions anyhow.
Is there a way for me to manipulate the .ini files or something to fix this? Or any other way?

On the side note, I have a couple of other games I'd happily have deleted on my steam account and then even re-purchse the non german one, can I somehow do that?

I appreciate any advice.

You can contact steam support for this, Im sure they could fix it if you prove the purchase or something. But you might need to give a bit more reason to them.
