What if, after finally getting released, HL3 turned out to be crap?

What if after 6 years of waiting, speculating, and suffering, Half-Life 3 turned out to garbage? How would you react if one of the most anticipated, if not the most anticipated, games went ahead and took a little ♥♥♥♥ in your mouth?

I'm expecting it to be so that way if it's the most awesome game I've ever played it will be a nice surprise. After hearing the rumors that it would be more like the Fallout series, my interest in it really died right there. If they show nothing of Half Life 3 at e3 this year, fans will stop caring when it's coming out.

I don't think HL3 will end up living up to the hype that people have built up for it. That being said, I do think it'll be a good game overall, judging by how consistent Valve is with putting out good games.

1.) Valve hasn't made a bad game yet...even when its in a genre I don't typically play.
2.) The game, no matter how awesome, will never live up the myth already created in some people's minds.
3.) I am sure the game, when they are ready to finish it, will be awesome.
