Which halflife 2 mod has better graphics: cinematic mod or halflife 2 update?

The CM is an ugly, buggy and cluntered clash of different assets and overblown effects drenched in pornagraphic imagery.

Update is simply HL2 with lots of bug fixes and sutle yet impressive "spit and polish" graphical improvements.

I'd use Update of the that other mess any day of the week.

I never played CM, only watched a couple small portions so I don't know about all the graphics bugs, I was going to say CM was an upgrade graphics wise but if it has all those bugs then I guess not.

What I can attest to is the pornographic nature of CM, exclude the fact that Earth has been occupied by alien entities forcing human annihilation by attrition for over 20 yrs, starving killing, conscripting, human industry has taken a nose dive, (addressed in the original HL2 and Xpacs) and in the CM the people of Earth are dressed like they’re wearing designer clothes and sunglasses and in a Matrix movie. Worst of all is the way they’ve modeled and dressed the surviving women like their cheap street walkers. I jumped to Black Mesa and shortly after looking into the area Alyx exited dumped the video.

the cinematic mod doesn't even look like half life infact on some parts it looks like a fallout or metro game

I always found the Cinematic Mod faintly disturbing. As the Half-Life Wiki points out it was created by a 50-year-old man, but the female characters are all rendered as teenage girls in skimpy clothing.

The whole thing gives off a rapey, masturbatory vibe. It's particularly depressing given that Half-Life 2 stood out for its understated, low-key visuals and relatively realistic look.

Half-Life 2: Update is hard to tell apart from the original unless you're really looking, but it does no harm so there's no reason not to use it.

yeah half life 2 update has better graphics and doesn't ruin stuff while cinematic mod ruins the buildings and other models and the maps and characters are the things that were ruined the most so if i want half life 2 to have better graphics i will get half life 2 update
