there is just a "My Game Long Name" in my list. bit confused. forgot that or what ?????

This is not how you're supposed to uninstall Steam games. Right-click on the game in your library and click on "Delete Local Content..." to uninstall a Steam game.

"My Game Long Name" is what UDK uses to install it's engine and uninstalling this will not remove the game from your system.

Note: This will also delete your save game, so be sure to back it up as Antichamber is not a SteamCloud compatible game. Your save is located here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Antichamber\Binaries\Win32\SavedGame.bin"

hmm. all my 240 games are with a title. not this game.....(or better: UT3 MOD) ? why can't they change the name for an installed game. i use my pc for other things not only for steam...

I'm sure most people use their computer for more things than just Steam. This is beyond the dev's control, this name is given to the engine used to develop the game by the development kit. Some companies can change this name, but for an indie developer (escpecially if they used a cheep or free version of the dev kit), this would be beyond the capabilities of the dev kit. (a kind of watermark for a game using that specific engine)

It's just idiocy on Unreal's end. When installed through Steam, the only point of the uninstall entry is to keep track of whether or not you've agreed to the EULA. Just don't mind it. If it bothers you, manually edit it in the registry.

I also opened a thread like this because I am paranoid about malicious softwares.
Deleting it though would probably just delete your game content or maybe ♥♥♥♥ something up with the lisencing and agreements.

i cannot believe that this is not working with the developed game. if the registry thing is working, so a install would work....

You'll have to agree to the license agreement again if you remove the registry key.

Go complain to Epic Games. They're the one who designed the system. The separate installation system wasn't needed in the first place. It's just there so the end user can agree to the license agreement for UDK, for whatever reason.

You agreed to the Steam Subscriber Agreement[www.extremetech.com] as well as the EULA for that specific game[gtavmi.com] (sorry this one is for GTA IV not Antichamber, the only picture I could find).

Because the agreement is for Antichamber, and not for the use of UDK itself, they have to create a separate agreement outside of Steam for installing and using their game engine.
