Proteus
I just mistakenly finished the game... [Some spoilers within!!]
I usually use Proteus as background music while I study... I'm studying for a final and I glanced at the screen and started to explore a little. I never noticed the vortices before so I was very impressed when I jumped to the summer. Anyway, long story short: Now I finished the game and not trying to be a pretencious douche I can't help but to think there's an underlying message to all of this...

The way the game progresses and especially how it ends makes me think of it as an analogy for life (and death). I don't know if everyone seen "Enter the Void" but I feel it's a bit like that...

I was wondering what's everyone else's take on this (after searching for simmilar topics all I can find is complaining about how this game sucks so much or people defending it). What do you think this all means? The statues? The Vortices? The floating? The chanting voices? Who are the people in the statues? Are those voices I hear? Why so many graveyards but I was unable to find a major settlment (or city?). Where is everybody?

I know this sounds/looks like pretencious artsy stuff but I really feel there's something more to this...

This is not pretencious at all, the game shows you a lot of stuff tha is pretty much unexplained. To begin with, spring usually means the beginning of life, coming to life again and again just like the character does. Winter is death itself, in this game at least, thats for sure. I have no idea about a lot of the other stuff. :/
Its a game trying to be pretentious. Theres nothing else to it. The devs don't know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and expect you to be high when you play it.

It's not really prententious. It's not trying to give a message or tell a story. It's just pretty, nice-sounding, infinite and wonderful.
Finshed pretty suddenly, but enjoyed what I understood :postcardf:
There's an end? I walked around for 5 minutes and got bored because nothing really changed. how long do I have to walk to change the season?

I seriously think that telling that to you will spoil the game. But if you really want to know:

You have to walk till you find a couple of statues. Then stand between them in the middle of the night and you'll see some lights... Follow the lights. After that you'll get it. This is as little as I can tell you while still helping you.

Hope it helps.. :)
