Second, natural selection 2 is better, will last longer, and has extreme developer support but it's not your pick up and play call of duty/crapplefield, you'll take a little bit of a while to learn the game mechanics and meta before you can really start playing/enjoying it
NS2 has bad netcode but hit detection is still pretty good considering the speed aliens move about. NS2 also has better gameplay and more variety and depth.
Unreal's netcode is ultra garbage and it reflects in Chivalry. Despite the very slow pace you still see swings go straight through your targets and you end up getting hit through your block. The randomness of it kills skill and strategy of parries and feints and such. Also developers who fail to get achievements working right worry me deeply.
If you have friends to play with and time on your hands, NS2. If not, Chivalry.
I've played it and I can tell you even once the alpha has released you are going to have a long wait for anything actually fun.
Thanks EZ! Getting NS 2.
I already spent the majority of my cash on Borderlands 2 and got $10 left in my VG budget for this month. Wish both games were on sale till the first, so that I could persuade my wife that it's a new month.
Lol paying mortgage really, really sucks. I sometimes miss renting a cheap 2 bedroom and having hundreds of bucks to spend on games per month.
