I stay in Chivalry
Hi, just a useless topic from players who know or not know me, to just say i will stay in the game to keep the high skill level in the game. New players needs to be trained to stay the game alive with the Jedi's style we all love. (sry for bad english ) ;)

I'll still be playing a lot of chiv. Maybe I'm biased but I prefer the combat in Chiv over that OTHER game. The combat in that other game bugs me to no end. I'm not a fan of the directional swinging, and while chivs combat has always been smooth the only thing that isn't smooth in that other game is the combat for me. People stab me from 20 feet away and I can't hit someone when I'm literally touching them. I also cannot establish a strategy for what kind of setup I want to stick with. Just when anything is working and I'm getting kills, I suddenly can't kill anything even tho I didn't do anything different...
". I'm not a fan of the directional swinging, "

just change the control scheme to "classic" and ur done, dummy

also, combat in mordhau is better.
Spinning like a breakdancer on adderal is not skill. Stay in your containment zone.

They still don't get how they ruined the game in conjunction with TB's stupid choices like:

Not fixing blatantly broken looking and feeling attacks because of the tiny sliver of "comp" (uber toxic tryhards) players left complained "muh skill ceiling" ... so instead they made like half of the ♥♥♥♥ing servers rank locked to under 16. Meaning anyone who wasn't a try hard was FORCED to play with other tryhards on a tiny sliver of servers and game types which just consolidated and expanded the problem.

TL;DR So they catered to a small vocal minority of toxic players while giving their main source of income, new $5 sale players, a false impression for 16 levels until they got kicked to the toxic wolves, where they either became one themselves or quit. :steamfacepalm:

Toxicity? People keep using that word, I don't think it means, what they think it means.

The best players here play 1st person, parry to parry to parry like a stonewall, roh much less than you think, only dance for purpose, use no macros, and their "toxicity" (domination) comes directly from the 1.5-2.5k hours they spent getting their asses handed to them on the same few maps. Honestly, it's a skill gap that any noob would be hard pressed to close, but one that any reasonable player should acknowledge and understand.

That means teaming on FFA servers, using mechanics exploits to move twice faster than normal players, one-hit-mauls and crossbows and so on. It makes the game unplayable for normal players and acts like an advanced acid: it either dissolves anything that touches or converts it to the same acid. That is 'being toxic'.
I will stay on Chiv whenever I can, it's too fun, and I don't want to see it die.
Perhaps newbies will make a new generation of Chiv players, who knows?

Icky is US east coast i think and you are Australia....completely different chivalry zones so prolly different players on the scene.

So you are prolly both right.

Ill be back playing this because Mordhau frontlines is a mess...a complete gankfest and spam beyond ridiculous. Maps have no real decent design its disappointing

I liked the combat in duels 1v1 but i get bored of duels sadly. TO was always where it was at.

And call me crazy but the swings in chivalry feel much better and in general more appropriate heavier with substance and meatier when hitting enemy etc. It just feels very elastic the swings....like someone has studied chivalry and tried to copy it then added on extra elements. Now dont get me wrong i like the chambers and morphs etc and i cant complain really about fight mechanics but just a bit meh ....but the game modes are garbage. Full price game and really poor game modes with limited maps.

Chivalry to me feels like they concentrated on all aspects of the gameplay....map design....sound,,, fighting...the chat...voices...the classes... They all combine to create a great game. Mordhau doesnt have that balance imo. I had some fun with it though and if they do introduce a TO mode like chivalry with a lot more maps then yeah ill try it again.
