I had this, the problem in my case was GameMaker apparently doesn't get on with some printer drivers. Stopping the Print spooler service made the game work, but obviously needs restarting if I want to use the printer. A suboptimal solution, but it might work.

Holy heck, that just worked!

Yes, it worked for me too, deleted all the printer I had. And the game working fine for the moment.
How did you figure the conflict between gamemaker and the spooler ? Great job anyway and thank you.
Damn, did it for me too.

................ well you didn't need to delete all the printers... you just need to go to Startmenu... type Services... and stop printer spooler

Can you all give this a shot and let us know in that thread if it works. Seems to work for quite a few folks. http://steamcommunity.com/app/219150/discussions/0/864949719177850618/

Had the same problem, turning off the Print Spooler service fixed it. The problem started happening after I uninstalled some HP printer drivers and software. Not sure how they are related...
