Repeated Crashes

There seems to be no specific cause, but the game just crashes to the desktop with a generic Windows message about the application crashing. Seems to happen every few levels, but never the same levels or at the same times. I've tried all of the available suggestions to fix crashing (re-installing/repairing the game and things like .NET and VCRedist), but nothing seems to work. It's frustrating to get through a really nice run, only to have the game go kaput before you get back to your car! :(
