Disapearing ammo and score boxes

Ok, I'm getting really sick of this issue. I've been trying to A+ all of the levels recently but sometimes the score counter will just disapear, and once that happens I can't complete the level or go to the main menu, which means I have to ctrl+alt+delete out of the game and close it. This is really frustrating because I can get a really good score halfway through a level then the counter disapears and I have to reset my game.
Is there any fix to this? I'm playing on the updated version, didnt have this problem on the original version but if I play on that version I would have to start all over.
This has been happening for a LONG TIME also, I figured there would have been a fix already but I cant find one anywhere.

Updating graphics driver usually fixes this problem.

I tried to, but I have the most recent updates, and it still hasnt fixed the problem. Hopefully the new patch that the devs are working on fixes the problem cause this just makes the game unplayable

Do you play on a laptop with switchable graphics? If yes, does the game run on dedicated graphics?

I dont think I have switchable graphics actually I have a Intel core I5 processor and cant find a switchable graphics option in the Intel graphics and media control center

Yep, you don't have switchable graphics since you don't have a dedicated graphics card. Your graphics processor is actually your processor, and is usually called integrated graphics.

Thing is integrated graphics are not really designed for gaming, so no wonder some games may present problems.

Is there a way to copy my progress from the updated version to the original version? Or are they not compatible?

to copy your save file in the hotline miami folder (witch is in my games in the documents)copy find the updated versions save file delete its save file and copy paste your old save file into the updated save file your progress should be in the updated version.

Not easily no. The game can convert from Original to Updated but no function is there for the reverse operation. It can still be done manually but requires a Hex editor and some time to understand how it works.
