my main complaint so far is the animal carcasses disappear right after the kill. when getting attacked by a mob and i'm shooting like crazy to fight them off, i don't know if i killed the animal and start looking around to see if i'm still going to be attacked or if a new animal is attacking. they should have left the carcasses on screen for a while at least.

also, they need to add a simple mele attack or push move. you can dodge when an animal is in your face but i feel like i need a mele attack to push them away or something. and they should add a crouch button. i'm no hunter, but i assume hunters may like to crouch when sniping animals.

other that these things, enjoying the game so far.

Carcasses should stay all the time. I want to see my trophy when im done with its friends.
And no melee and crouching is just weird. How can they not have thought of that. Patch soon I hope.
still can't play it T_T

i wouldn't recommend this game @ $30. story mode is short and an enjoyable for a few hours only. game could be a whole lot better and improved. call of duty with humans is much better than this game and their prowler ai isn't good when the experience and gameplay isn't that great and in most areas, the animals go straight to attack you.

replay value lies in maneater mode which is arena battle but the animals are programmed to just go straight to attack you like in story mode rather than a more open environment where you can actually hunt/find animal and kill them before they attack you. would have been better if animals roam around and they only start chasing/attacking you if you are nearby or make noise.

there is also a shooting gallery but without a light gun and using a mouse is nothing special once you go thru everything. probably only good to improve your mouse tracking abilities to make you a better sniper when you play other fps games.

I will say this is better than Dangerous Hunts 2009. I can't really compare it to DH2011 since I haven't played that one much, but they did a good job with making it a more suspenseful game. It's definitely not like hunting and isn't even much of a hunting game compared to Hunting Unlimited 2010, The Hunter, Deer Hunter 2005, or Deer Hunter Tournament. But they drop a few red herring scares... well, more like startles... in there like movies will when the heroine is searching her apartment and the cat jumps out. It's probably best described as a mild survival horror feel without the horror. Though I can tell you the whoop of a hyena comes off as more chilling than any zombie ever has. Think of it as The Outdoor Channel's version of Resident Evil.

Probably best to wait until it's on sale, which may not be long with the holidays just around the corner. Still, it looks nice and it at least has a bit more excitement than a lot of Cabela's recent releases, even Survival: Shadows of Katmai, which was a bit of a stinker.
