The Mission was started after leaving the party with the the first player, rejoining and then choosing Missions with the second Player, this was done to be able to continue the second players Misson/Gamestate. Cheers!
I am droping this game until the next patch
It'd be appreciated if you guys did something for this... I supported the kickstarter and it already feels like you've walked on from this project, issues remaining notwithstanding. Being unable to play through a game I believed in is, hm... not pleasant.
It had such promise but the execution feels a little limited; but I guess that's on me for expecting it to be like Metal Slug or something... or maybe myself and other game reviewers aren't the only ones feeling it. Food for thought.
I don't know if there are other bugs for other bosses, but the experience that made me make this discussion was just a misunderstanding. I haven't encountered any real bugs with this game and the intense criticism is unfounded.
I am aware that he spawns in one of four different locations; the first mission dealing with this was possible because I saw on the map that he was in a different spot, then went to fight him and killed him.
The problem is that in the mission dealing with the steel soldier where you have to capture him instead of kill him, he's not spawning into the map. In the version where you have to kill him he spawned in and moved between the points, probably as he should; in the "capture" version he never spawned. I moved between all points constantly until I died in the mission (it was a LONG time) and it was notably NOT working as probably intended, especially since I'd succeeded on the last mission which played out practically identically.
Basically, he never appeared on the map or mini map, as he did in the "kill" mission.
As for "intense" criticism... if you look at my wording I'm pretty fair, saying it fell short of promise that it made (even if the devs didn't make such claims) and left me feeling a little disappointed. It feels like they went for something and didn't push the envelope, and the repetition of environments and missions gets a little tired after a while. The weakness of the Kickstarter game model is that development times are terribly short, though. Sad that this one didn't shoot for the stars and instead stayed stuck in the jungles.
