In this thread, we will be regularly updating the known issues and posting expected release schedule for the upcoming patches.

Report bugs in-game by pressing ALT+B in-game (or pushing two sticks together on console). We sincerely thank you all for the bug reports and descriptions of your issues in the community bugreport thread. Keep it coming! They are very helpful to determine our priorities.

Known issues:

Below is the list known commonly reported issues. Don't create new threads with this issue if you see it here. We are already aware of it and working on a solution.

- The problem of not providing enough challenge for the experienced players on higher difficulties is still there, and we'll be looking at it in future updates.

Solutions for frequently brought up hardware/software issues on user side:

1) Empty dialogues, crashes, characters being unable to move.

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR MODS and verify the integrity of game files!

2) The game's loading bar is stuck or there's a black screen after launching the game.

Solved by verifying the files and deleting all files except saved games, portraits and screenshots from the following folder: C:\Users\ <username>\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader

or, in the case of Mac:

~/Library/Application Support/unity.Owlcat Games.Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader

3) Mouse cursor is lagging every few seconds, peripheral devices connect and disconnect, strange clicking sounds from headphones or heard by others in voice chats

It's an old Unity engine bug with peripherals that persists through all our games.

Can be fixed by searching and deleting the file called Rewired_DirectInput.dll from the game directory.

4) High GPU load and overheat, sometimes resulting in crashes on some hardware, especially on Win 11:

Limit the FPS to 60 and turn off FSR to minimize this issue.
