Why does the Payday crew keep getting these terrible drills? I mean, they have enough money to get drills that don't break down so much.

The Payday gang build them themselves.

And unfortunately, neither Sokol nor Wolf actually spend that much time building drills.

Its not that these drills are bad, its just bain takes pleasure in turning them off at random.

Keep in mind that these drills manage to drill open safes within 10 minutes AT WORST.
A normal drill would break completely if they attempted that - and if it wouldn't, it would need a few hours to actually do something.

Which is assuming drilling would do something in the first place, which it actually doesn't, but let's ignore that part here.

So, these drills are the DRILLS OF GODS!

And they do it without any assistance in guiding or anything, you just attach it with a freaking vice and wait.

It's on a rail.

Worked for a bank years back and they had to drill our safe open once. It was a long holiday weekend and the tellers got the hours mixed up and instead of securing the safe for 78 hours (approx), they put it for 140 something. No way to open (needed for business) but to drill.

Took somewhere around 4-5 hours. Somewhere along the timeline they were repairing it with whatever they destroyed so the safe can be used again.

Was loud and could be heard throughout the bank. I heard constant swearing between the two guys working so I am assuming it jammed loads of times :)

edit: forgot to put hrs. Don't want people to think minutes.

This is why I wish drill skills could affect The Beast. :P

Would be funnier if Bain was heard in the background saying "guys, the thermal drill; go get it!" in the background
