If you have custom weapons/outfits equipped, and then removed the mods that gave you them without first removing them from your profile, it will crash the vanilla game yes.
The Fixes might allow you to edit your loadouts and play, if that's causing you problems; otherwise you'd have to try and find the mods that gave you that custom content or wipe your save data.
Also, any mods that help sentry use? I love using them and l am sure they were some that help with information
The renderer settings for Payday 2 are in the AppData folder. I haven't played PDTH so I can't comment on that.
I don't have any personal experience with Sentry mods; but I'm sure someone can assist.
It was updated up to 240.6, and the last update to the game was 240.7 (and that was a super small update that only fixed a couple of things). Taking a quick check of the comments on modworkshop, most of the crashes are addressed or aren't related to The Fixes for one reason or another. It should still be pretty serviceable.
Sadly yes, Dom mentioned they don't have any plans to keep it updated.
