I see this game on the Switch. Questions
I think I see it simply mention Payday 2. What does the Switch version have? Like is it up to date with the pc or up to date with the consoles? How well does the game perform on the Switch in comparison like the PS4/XB1?

Switch doesn't have any listed DLCs so is that really all packaged in or something. I wanted to be sure before I returned back into this game but playing it on the Switch for the first time

The most important thing to note before buying the Nintendo Switch port is that it runs on a much older version of the game, even older than PS4/XB1 are currently at. Its version is about equivalent to the consoles' Most Wanted edition, where the Biker Heist is among the newest content included (not counting the Joy character pack that was a timed-exclusive for marketing). And yes, all of the DLC content up to that version is included.

It's been very long since I played this port, but I think the performance was more than adequate; nothing game-ruining at least from my experience. The amount of players online while it was still new was small but doable, but I imagine today it'd be even harder to find random crews to join, assuming anyone's even playing it at all anymore.

This thread is really old, but I figured I'd pitch in some additional info anyway just in case someone comes by looking for answers.

First things first, yes, like mentioned by the guy above me, the switch version is, and will sadly always remain, woefully outdated. Everything up to the Biker Heist DLC (2016) is included in terms of major updates with a couple of the minor updates up to update 130 included. This is by far the biggest reason against getting this version of the game.

The framerate is locked to 30, with infrequent drops and no access to graphics settings whatsoever. Even brightness/gamma settings are inaccessible meaning the game is very dark. Texture quality has definitely been lowered, too. Making things look quite blurry if you're used to running it at max.

Switch specific features are lacking. The main menu has some touch screen controls but gyro is not implemented at all. (This makes anything above Mayhem unplayable for me, lol)

Unless you just really want Payday 2 portable I'd advise against getting this version. It's almost never on sale digitally or physically, meaning it'll set you back 50 EUR (or whatever local equivalent) for this mediocre port.

It's nice to be informed even if my thread is old. I haven't purchased this game on the Switch but seeing all that is listed here I can ignore the game to be honest. One of these days I'll need a better pc for this.

Wanted this game for "shooters" side but I end up getting Plants vs Zombies: BfN on sale. Kinda helps keeps me occupy in having fun and slaying enemies
