Can anyone who has played the game answer the question that has been tormenting us all these years?

Long story short: Those who have played say that the game is

not woke

There are a few voices about alleged woke, but they are not supported by any screenshots or anything other than "trust me bro".

Having consumed 40K Media for nearly 20 years, with the exception of the stupid femstodes, 40k almost never has DEI. Women have always been able to play important roles and frequently do as military, political and naval leaders. In an impossibly huge galaxy there are all skin colours and cultures. I legit cannot think of a trans/queer character, and if I have seen one, it was well written enough to make sense.

I don't like DEI/woke nonsense in my games, but people really need to stop being sensitive snowflakes about it.

I love women. But they will never be drafted. If GW wants to introduce a hot Space Marine babe. I for one will play it. But I draw the line at the new Concord like char models. Better be sexy and in skimpy armor, not obese.

They already exist as the Sisters of Silence and Sisters of Battle.

Both are all female Armies, trained to peak physique, with a no nonsense personality and equipped with Power Armor, all kinds of Bolters, Flamers, Melters, Power weapons etc.

And both are known to give even Space Marines a run for their money.

The biggest feat in fighting Astartes for the SoB would be the defence of the Imperial Palace on Terra at the end of the Reign of Blood. They repelled any attack until one of their Leaders (I think Celestine) got an audience with Big E offered by his Custodes.

Yeah, defenders do typically have an easier time defending a zone

People will believe what other say but cannot use their own eyes and brains. The kind that plays the game themselves but watches reviews and streams to form an opinion. Did you not see the two diverse Titus partners in trailer itself when you ask if its DEI or not and read about this game's writer before and GW's stance and reputation on this topic in general. Put 2 and 2 together yourself and stop asking others.

Rather than celebrating a game that has stayed true to it's lore, with no intrusion from contemporary politics, these people troll posting about wokeness should be happy, rather that sabotaging an awesome game. I just don't get it.

But I generally assume that everyone online is a 12 year old boy, so it makes since to them somehow, and I don't have to wonder how people could be so irrational, they'll grow up someday. :D
