audio not working

hello everyone who has audio problems(i know it's painfull)
i just got a new pair of earphones because my mom steped on my old ones and broke them.
the new pair sound much better and have a much better mic then my last one.

the paid i got work well with my phone, ps4 and ipad. but they dont work with my pc. audio works fine on youtube or while gaming single player games but while i play planet side 2 the earphones do not transmit audio. the only way the audio works is if i turn off voice entirely. then audio works fine. i can hear and play back my own voice in the voice settings but otherwise it does not make a peep. i have tries maney fixes but nothing works.

i really hope someone could help me.

gtx 1070
core i 7 7700
16 gigs of ram

Have you changed output devices in settings (voice or audio, can't remember which)? You can have it so that game audio is out of speakers and voice audio out of headphones etc.

When i had problems with my headphones, turns out i had to select them as they weren't being detected or i forgot to turn them on before launching the game.

yea, i tried everything
i gave up and asked best buy, the earphones where broken. i gave up and got my self a good gaming head set.

it still did not work. but i found a fix for people whos audio cuts out when they turn of audio. simpley and sadly uninstall the game, then go to steam, Program Files (x86)>Steam>steamapps>common>PlanetSide 2 and delete the six or so folders there. then reinstall the game and you are good to go. the game was fixed for me after that. i hope this works for you :D
