What are you "go to" towers when starting a Torment run?
I usually go MG (Or Guns) + Pulse Tower.

pulse tower is pretty good, but endgame.
The best seems to be judgement + dark marker ( whatever the character ).

I usually go dark marker closer to end game since it procs pulse like crazy. I'll have to give it a go as a start.
i've been using dark marker + sunder, aiming for upgrading cards to get Divine light in atleast purple early. other than that i look for elementalist for the 60% dmg and the curse dmg multiplier. worked on 2 torment 5 runs so far.

i've never liked judgement tower, just personal preference
I start with Unholy MG and Gravity push. Stay pure unholy damage and just stack the living hell out of unholy crit and unholy damage to fuel your dark pulse.
Judgement+Sin Spotter worked for me. Just need to ramp range, tower damage, and pray for living shadow (or pierce).
I beat the first 3 with unholy mg and judgement. T4 seems to be a bit of a wall, haven't found a good answer.
I just got to T3 on a couple of employees. Liking the challenge. :D
Dark Marker procs crit for the pulse tower, so I believe the strongest possible setup is just a bunch of pulse and dark marker.

However, you gotta start with something else because pulse tower is so painful early. I like Judgement and Saws since they can crit a lot quickly. MG is ok but fires real slowly.
I used to go Judgement + Sin Spotter, until I tried starting with Dark Marker like some people suggested. I'm not killing all sinners by any means, most just waltz past Judgement, but the damage is good enough to recover your HP and keep you afloat until you can build better structures.
I also run Judgment + Sin Spotter. There are definitely better towers, for example I think Sawblade is just a better Judgment, but the problem is you need a lot of upgrades (especially increased AoE and attack speed) for that to happen. Barebones Judgment is going to outperform Sawblade every time. Sin Spotter is sort of a personal preference thing, but my other option of Divine Light presents problems if I'm running anyone who can't muster more than 6 energy at will. Not being able to upgrade to blue tier as soon as I draw the fixed green tiers because divine light costs 4 instead of sin spotter's 3 is a big problem for that build, so I had to settle for something else and ended up with sin spotter.
Sin spotter with Pulse is mint if you've unlocked the Natural 20 global crit card and know how to roll for it.
I'm the odd one here. I've had good luck making torment runs by starting with the Forker + Unholy MG. The key I've found in almost all my torment runs is the 400% rock card, with that, I can easily up my towers by at least 20-40% every round while still getting upgrades. I also stay away from any of the +500 Hp and 2.5% regen as you can easily make up for those with other cards. I just wish that the game wasn't gated around the Greed level; if you make it past that, it's almost always a cakewalk from there.
