I've been playing as Dungeon Master and am really enjoying it, yet it's not hard enough. I've beaten the bots on "Very Easy" and have beat all the actual players that have played against me. Let me know if you think you can survive my dungeon.

P.S. I'm not saying that I'm the best or anything, just want a challenge.

You just haven't run into the right players yet. When you get spanked by your first multi-mage group who know how to abuse their Rays like pros or a certain annoying combination for Warrior you may think differently.

If you think a Hero group you are against is too easy there are ways to even it out. You can take weaker monster combinations and avoid using ones that are considered more powerful(or even overpowered) such as Ducks or Bees. The same for spells and DM traits - there are combos that will absolutely smash some groups that aren't prepared for them.

The most important thing about this game that a lot of players don't get is communication between players and the DM is important for games to be fun. Reach a consensus about what players want and they will stick around for multiple games.

What Boss do you run with? Had a few games with the starting boss and found it very difficult to kill the decent players due to the starting mage potion and warrior taunt skills. Also Rogues with the dodge invuln are a real pain to deal with as they backstab alot during the stage.
At points it felt as though no matter how I played the boss fight, I lost. Interrupting every revive and such. They went down about 6 times each battle but still managed to revive eachother every single time due to the invulnerability of the warrior's taunt or the mages beam.

I use the first boss (squid thing). Heroes rarely make it to my boss and when they do I use his slam and grab skills to disrupt their revives. Also his Ultra combined whith the multiple slams and grabs makes it really hard to revive your friends.

I agree on the Squid, the biggest advantages with him are the Dragons that spawn(who are deceptively powerful since Heroes tend to ignore them and they will chew them up as punishment) and the vortexes that he spawns near the end that cause confuse - try to stay in these after they appear and lure Heroes into them. I have seen more last-minute game comebacks for a DM from this boss than any other as players can sometimes totally fall apart at the end. I also like the Hippo, since his defensive abilities recharge very quickly and his Ultra is devestating.

Evasion is in my opinion currently the most broken game mechanic and needs some serious fixing(my suggestion would be a reduction in the amount of time you can evade, by like 1/4 or 1/3, and also make Freeze effects cancel it). If you have the Grimoire DLC, the Freeze ability helps against these kinds of players, but even then it can be tough especially when they are really good at Backstabbing. Ducks can be effective, since they are immune to it in spin-mode. Spiders are the abuser's biggest fear, since their web ability stops pretty much everything cold. Missiles(if they are a little slow in the reflexes), Mines + Hidden Traps if they aren't expecting it or are slow to learn are a couple of other possibilities, but nothing is fool-proof.

My strategy against players being ultra-abusive is to figure out any weak elements you can see in the group(ie someone with weak Perks or one that keeps falling for traps, doesn't stay with the group, etc) and concentrate on them primarily. Try to distract the stronger members and kill the weakest. Doesn't always work and you will encounter infuriating players sometimes that just can't be killed by anything. It's not the end of the world.

100% agree with you Mmm Brains. I win almost every time before they can get to the Squid but a team with a Rogue that abuses the Evasion perk can backstab their way through. The only hard counter is the Spider's Web.
I fought against one Rogue who was basically unkillable by anything but the Spider's Web, I couldn't pin him down even when I had Lancer Imps charging him from all directions, he evaded and backstabbed every time. He was always Evading with the Perk and when he wasn't, he was using the Shadow backstab potion to wipe out clusters of mobs.

It feels as though in some scenarios the DM will lose even if everything goes perfectly. The players only need a small amount of teamwork and they can smash through it seems, but still some close fights.
