GFWL Key Activation Issues Resolved [UPDATE 04/09/15]
Hello Resident Evil Fans,

We have some good news! If your GFWL didn't activate on Steam before, you should be able to redeem it on Steam now. We want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding while we've worked with Steam on issues that some of you have had with activating your GFWL keys on Steam. If you tried to activate your key on Steam before but couldn't, please give it another shot.

Make sure you're entering the key five characters at a time, separated by dashes, like so:

AAAAA-BBBBB-CCCCC-DDDDD-EEEEE

If you continue to have issues activating your key after doing so, please use the process below to send a request to support for your region, and we'll investigate further. Thanks again for your continued patience and support!

[Previous updates below]

We're still looking into the issues mentioned below with keys not activating on Steam; that said, if you're still running into problems with activation, please contact us with the following information, and we'll determine if we can provide a solution:

For Digital Download purchases:
  • The product key that is not activating
  • The receipt of purchase, either forwarded with your message or copy and pasted from the e-mail you received from the retailer

For Physical Disc purchases:
  • A clear picture of the key provided with the game (back of the manual, in the game case, etc.)
  • The receipt of purchase, if possible
  • Any additional identifying information to show ownership (like a piece of paper with the current date and your name, e-mail, etc.) would be helpful as well
