I love this game!

After playing 14 hours non stop today, I have to say, I like this like the first Dead Island.
I like the addition of the new throwables.
I like the large fights with many guys on my side.
This is like a gigantic DLC for the original. And I loved the original. And the content DLC for the original was good too. Because of the story and the new way to play (no perks, only guns).

This is exactly what I wanted from a new Dead Island.
Same guys, same way of playing, some cool new toys. Perks!
Anyone tried the chainsaw? :)

I think it's awesome as well! But it's thoroughly underrated. I ALWAYS see a discussion name saying either "Don't buy this game" or "Dis gaim sux, zahmbies meger O-P SUCKSNGAJGBaShrgmgsffr..." But hey, we can't all share the same opinions can we?

People easily forgot what annoys them in Riptide is present in DI because they used the same formula of gameplay, just perfected it, yet they will praise DI in it's fixed and updated dev build/beta content fillers/leftovers state. Haters gonna hate or follow like shep herd mainstream social opinion of others. Individual thinking. experience and personal fun is a crime to them. ;-)

What I see is that many people answer the "hate" threads and so bump these hate-threads which is kind of silly.

Btw, I forgot to say: I LOVE the stackable throwables, the stackable throwing knifes especially, and even better, when you create a modded (vanilla game mods, not .. workshop mod or something like that) stack of knifes... that is SO cool.
20 throwing knives with poison, or whatever makes them stand still and lose health...

spent 100 hours in DI with my coop buds and we are loving Riptide. This another one of those gamer " scratch your head " moments where we dont see wth people are complaining about.

+1... although its just the jungle bit of the previous version its great fun. More of the same from the original with some better design.

Have to admit that I prefer the mixed locations/settings of the first game though. The vacation complex was a fun area to explore... here its mostly jungle all the time... well from what Ive played.

we are at 24 hours havent left the jungle yet and have 4-5 quests to do yet so as far as got our moneys worth we passed that point :)
