IS THE "THE TWINS" ACHIEVEMENT BROKEN?

I've killed both of the Twins and the game recognizes this, but the achievement doesn't show up on either STEAM or my RAPTR account. The weird thing is, when I initially got the achievement, the words popped up saying that I received it, but no small picture was shown. Now that I've killed both of them, one of the Twins won't show up anymore (now that the door to the shack is open). Has anyone else experienced a glitch such as this before?

Common problem with this game. You can only start over and hope that it'll unlock the second time you do this. Which shouldn't be to hard. Just start a new game, jump to that chapter and whack those guys.
While for me the "finish all quests" and "collect everything" achievements didn't properly unlock. So I can replay the whole freaking game.

You don't have to restart. After you reach the city, you can fast travel back to the ferry and the door to the garage will be closed. Head back to the beach for the first brother, return and climb the sign and the second one will come out of the garage.

Thanks for the advice. It now recognizes that I have the achievement now. I found out what the problem was. My modem went down yesterday and when I removed the battery so it could be reset, STEAM went offline. So hence went when I started playing "Dead Island" again, I didn't realize that I was playing in offline mode.

Yeah, I see a lot of these questions about Steam achievements here, and it seem the solution is usually to close and restart Steam. It will eventually synch them up.
