Bug with Start the Generator quest

I was playing the game at the part where you search for the lair, i died and hit respawn at checkpoint and i spawned near the engineer and started talking to him and despite not having yet found the lair, he gave me the quest to find the 4 electric coils, I found 2 coils then found the lair and i have the quest to go find the engineer (despite having alreaedy found him and getting the quest) and the quest he gave me was suddenly gone, but when I talk to the engineer he basically says you need to find the rest of the coils and i dont seem to be able to get the last 2 now

Thank you! This was a life saver. Electric boss was not spawning until I used /FixQuest 8.

Its 2017 and this bug still exists! Thank you for posting this, playing this game for the first time and was stuck missing 1 coil. Tried to use the backup saves but they didn't go back far enough for me. The Boss up the stairs never spawned so I could never get the last dang coil. ALso I noticed I never got the markers on the map or a counter showing how many electro coils I had.
Entering the /FixQuest 8 fixed it for me and the quest tracker finally showed my coils and the boss with the last one spawned. Thanks from 2017 lol

BTW: I think what bugged it out was maybe going up the stairs and killing the enemies up there before I talked to the engineer ?

Currently 2023. I have found the engeneer, but it does not trigger the quest. He only speaks some random text when I click on it.
