So as most of you know Ankama got breached and some accounts have been hacked. I recently received an email that the password on an account has been changed. Since then I contacted the support and they want a full copy of my ID. I sent them the ID with my image removed and they won't accept it. A company that has been breached still asks for more and more info from people? What the ♥♥♥♥ is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t? I provided them lots and lots of images that I am the legit owner of that account and they won't do♥♥♥♥♥♥until they can see my face?? Who in the right ♥♥♥♥ing mind wants legit ID's that people never shared online after a ♥♥♥♥ing breach?Why the ♥♥♥♥ is it relevant for a company to ask for a full ID you never used on that ♥♥♥♥ing account anyway? Looks like Ankama steals user accounts and tries to get personal documents too.
Recently, I lost one of my accounts, because I lost access to the ankama authenticator. SMS code to remove authenticator does not come at all, despite the fact that during instalation SMS-code came immediately.
It feels like someone in Ankama struggles to kill this MMO.

I played the game once,around 1 and a half years ago i think.
I went trough the tutorial,after that,i spent a few more moments in the game,lost interest,and didnt login again after that.

Now,i wanted to give the game another try,and when i tried to log in,i was told that im banned.
So i contacted the support and after 3 days,i got the following message:

Now,i dont really need my old account back,because i didnt play that much anyway,i was just curious what happened,and if i have to expect another ban if i start playing with a new account(and i wanted my old name).
But im kinda upset that i get accused of using bots,i look down on people who do this or similiar things in a game.
And ofcourse,how do i know that,if i start playing again now,i wont get banned again for no reason?

I didnt know there was a breach,but this would at least explain the whole thing...
I guess someone used my wakfu account and used a bot,but in this case,cant they check if there was a login attempt from a different location or something like that?
Then they would know it wasnt me.

PS:Did they fix whatever caused this breach?

They didn't fix ♥♥♥♥ lmao. I lost the account too. It was an old account I didn't really use. If you want to check IP's and stuff they will ask for personal info like ID's , passports etc. Don't give them the info . It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded and nobody should be forced to tell real life info online. About the bot. Did you have bsplayer opened or anymedia program? Web browser deson't count. I don't know myself what could probably cause your ban

No,i launched the game normally,played it for a while,and then stopped.
I think i didnt even reach 5 hours of gameplay time.

I also never got a email about the ban or anything like that.

If you just opened the game through steam you didn't actualy have an Ankama account. You had to make one and link it to your steam. It's stupid but yah...that's how it is.I realised this ♥♥♥♥ after I got the email with the password change from an old account not linked to steam. The steam one basically didn't have Ankama link , only steam :/

I wasnt playing on steam,i had a ankama account.
This time i wanted to play trough steam,tried to link it,and was told that my ankama account was banned.
Now im playing trough my steam account but i still feel uncomfortable with the whole situation.

Did you play the game outside steam then? I still have no idea why you got banned. Honestly playing just on steam should be fine . I had no issues with it even when my electricity went off a couple times. The game is cool and all , I have nothing against the game. You shouldn't have any problems while playing on steam tho

Not the first time something like this has happened, I was a founder and found my account was banned two or so years ago when I attempted to play again several months ago. Even after proving it wasn't me that did not do it, they refused to unban the account since it was their "policy". I was "slightly miffed", especially since they gave me the run around for almost _two weeks_ asking for more and more details just to ultimately tell me "alright, but no".

Loved the game, hated their initial model which stopped f2p players even really playing with their p2p counterparts and wanted to come back and give it a go, having to start from scratch without items and etc I paid for was utterly upsetting.

Their support has always been slow and pedantic even when I was a teen and played Dofus in the early 2000's, and the lack of english team-members didn't help any either I'm dissapointed they haven't improved on it.

Oh so that must be why when i logged on my old account to check the game out on my level 100+ character with level 10 guild. That the guild doesnt exist anymore for some reason. Im quite upset that i grinded so many points for so many months just to reach that point.
