How to make duels? (1v1)

i have gone into user/myname/appdate/roaming/the creative assembly/romeII/scripts and i have changed the preffrences unit size to -5 which takes the unit size to 1 man per unit, when i try play a custom battle it just stops, dosn't even crash to desktop or anything, apparently i shouldn't be having any problems but i just get massive low frame rate , am i typing the wrong numbers in? please help me i loved doing duels on shogun thanks in advance.
