Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

Visa statistik:
ALL I WANT FOR XMAS IS SLI SUPPORT
i think the whole "how far will you go for rome" slogan was a bit trashy given there was no SLI or Crossfire support. if you've been itching for this its time you became more vocal about it. CA Nvidia and AMD need fix this major flaw.

Does anyone know how long it took for Shogun to get SLI support?

Tell us more about how there is no Crossfire profile for Rome2.

http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2281/amd-catalyst-13-10-beta-2/

"Feature Highlights of The AMD Catalyst 13.10 Beta Driver for Windows:

- Rome Total War 2: Updated AMD CrossFire profile
improves CrossFire scaling up to 20% (at 2560x1600 with extreme settings)
resolves corruption issues seen while playing the game"

so rome has some deal cooked up with AMD? and will probably not get SLI support?
Swesal 3 nov, 2013 @ 18:52
Well, if you like to wear tinfoil hats, then thats one way to look at it.
what does that mean? im wondering cause i have 3 superclocked titans
Swesal 3 nov, 2013 @ 19:10
All it means is AMD has released a crossfire profile, and Nvidia hasn't released a SLI profile. In the past Nvidia always released drivers, and profiles before AMD/ATI did, but this has not always been the case for the last year or so. If AMD can support it, Nvidia can also, but they are dragging their feet for whatever reason. Who knows why.

Rome 2 didn't support crossfire. what you are showing is AMD that is fixing the problem... i to have the beta driver. If AMD is giving a driver to help then it doesn't mean Rome 2 supported it ...

ye call some1 an idiot because AMD gave a driver to help. Doesn't change the fact that CA gave no support for it. READ before you call some1 an idiot

Rome 2 didn't support crossfire.

Your reading comprehension seems a bit off today, I'll quote the relevent part again for you.

"- Rome Total War 2: Updated AMD CrossFire profile"

See the part where it says "CrossFire profile" There is ether a profile or there isn't one, and there is one.

Does it really matter? The game doesn't need SLI, or an uber powerful GPU to run smoothly. I understand the problems with people having where SLI or crossfire is compromising the game, so that it is unplayable, but that's a problem that can be fixed by running the game using only 1 of the cards.
im playing it now and its awesome but i want to utilize my hardware. and see smooth framerates at extreme settings. i want my game look as its advertized. it doesn't seem like a difficult thing to give so there must be some kind of dispute between Nvidia and CA
Itharus 4 nov, 2013 @ 9:46
Personally I've always thouight that SLI/Crossfire were just finicky gimmicks designed to stroke ePeens and cause more trouble than they are worth. The damned things only seem to work on games that are actively marketed as pure eye-candy (like Crysis and what not).

I'm sad it doesn't work for you guys though. Maybe in like 5 years it will be an accepted industry standard and have normalized support for all programs :-\
