Also a lot of people still have problems even running Attila smoothly. I could accept when my old computer didn't run it, but after spending 1500 bucks this year to build a new one only to get a tiny performance gain, and posting on the forums to see countless other people who say it's just how it is, well I don't even get how anyone runs it well enough to enjoy it. It definitely had optimization issues not present in Rome 2 or Warhammer.

@Welsh I can see where you're coming from. Just wishful thinking on my part hoping Attila would get some love too. That all makes sense though. @Owlcoholic Attila still runs like crap for me so I can see that side of it. I personally never enjoyed Warhammer because it seemed really simplified coming from Attila.. but that was just the base game at release and maybe the DLC factions and full-priced expansion (Warhammer 2) add some complexity to it.

I wouldn't give up all hope. I really see Empire Divided and Desert Kingdoms as a test for how well this sort of DLC for older games does. If it does well, it may open the way for more DLC for other games like Attila and Shogun 2.

All the Best,

Welsh Dragon.

I hate SJW. Believe me! But this doesn't have anything to do with SJW. The factions are already in the game and are already black (and should be black as historically they were black). As for women in politics, they aren't added to all factions. It is explicitly said that cultures which historically had no women as major players in politics and war (like Greeks and Romans) would get some women in other areas of the politics, but not as leaders/generals. But many cultures did have women as active political and warmaking player, which will be represented in this new release.

Women did play a part in Roman politics, in the background at least. Nero's mother comes to mind, as does Belisarius' wife.

Yes, I didn't say any different. Of course they did play a role. Also look at Marcus Aurelius' wife

"Social justice warrior" (commonly abbreviated SJW) is a pejorative term for an individual promoting socially progressive views, including feminism, civil rights, multiculturalism, and identity politics.

Basically it's what some people say when they want to disagree with you but can't come up with a reasonable argument so resort to namecalling.

All the Best,

Welsh Dragon.

EDIT: The idea that promoting civil rights and equality is somehow a bad thing is really mind boggling to me, but it's a funny old world.
SJWs aren't JUST promoting socially progressive views; they do it by circumventing everything that they perceive is getting in the way of their agenda... (real or not)

IE: extreme feminists who would gladly neuter every male on earth (cuz once theyre done with them pesky men, why not move on to the animal kingdom?)

Advocating for equality is all fine and dandy, unless what you're really going for is to instate a thousand years of matriarcal dictatorship... all in the name of "equality".

Ps: in this case though, the OP is nuts. This DLC is in no way SJW bs; just a new feature which will elevate the game, nothing more, nothing less...

^_^

Pfft, blow it out of your ass OP. That reaction is just as bad as the people I would use SJW in a unfavorable light for.

The only thing worse than all that politically correct SJW people are the ones complaining and whining about it all the time...

Actually all I see nowadays ARE the Anti-SJW people ... whenever they are confronted with something female, or black, or diverse ... people full of fear usually, and rather insecure. Not that they would ever confess that though ^^

I also am very much anti SJW but everything taken to extremes becomes problematic indeed.

Women have always been involved in politcs in someway during the classical time.
Carolin 22 Feb, 2018 @ 6:04pm
nope it is pretend SJW

for so much money, still no complex relationships, marriage, children and dynasty feature!

still no customization for a main character!

No one's saying promoting civil rights and equality is a bad thing, surely a man of immense intelligence like yourself knows that. The people who are referred to as "SJW's" are those who are doing the exact opposite of that. They are called Social Justice Warriors mockingly.
