linux custscenes video and audio are out of sync.
I have read some things about this but nothing specific to the cutscenes audio and video being out of sync. it doesn't stutter, just the animation is behind the audio. any ideas if there is anything I can do?

Cutscenes appear in sync on my system (Ubuntu 14.04, i7 3.4GHz, 16GB, SSD, GTX 970 w/ 355.11 drivers)

It's not just you. On my system the cutscene audio and video are incredibly out of sync, to the point where they're almost nonsensical.

Which system you have and how many minimun fps can you get?

I'm running Gentoo Linux and have no such problem. I'm using an nVidia GTX660 with the 355.11 drivers.
I hope you find the problem in your system, as it CAN run well in Linux.

the game plays fine actually, it is just the cutscenes are out of sync. but considering my computer is 4 years old, AMD A8-3850 cpu with 8GB of DDR2 RAM I am actually quite impressed that it works at all. I can also play dying light and metro last light with no issues except the cutscenes as well but it really doesn't bother me. I will upgrade fairly soon anyway. Thanks though.

I have the same problem. Game plays fine, but cutscenes are really out of sync. I'm running on Archlinux with nvidia 355.11 driver. Graphics card is a GTX 660. CPUs are dual Xeon X5355 with 16GB RAM.

I have the same "out of sync" problem. And I can only see the player body from the start, the part where Ripley wakes up from the bed/chamber. And everything else is black, except the health bar or something at the lower left corner. How am i supposed to play if I can't see anything. I tried changing the settings abit, still the same, can only see the player and the rest is black. I'm on Ubuntu 15.10 with Nvidia 840M card. Wondering if anyone else have the same problem. Or i'll have to request for a refund.

Not sure if I can be of much help but make sure you are using the latest version of the nvidia driver from the nvidia ppa. beyond that you may want to try contacting the game developer to see if they have any advise.

Actually, I fixed the problem by uninstalling "bumblebee" the battery friendly nvidia driver. I didn't realize I have it installed, which made my OpenGL version 3.0. After uninstalling, I rebooted and did a "glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version" and got back to 4.5
So I bought the game back after getting refund. And now it worked perfectly, i meant the game play, not the out of sync thing.
