The interface and controls are similar to Diablo 2, but Divine Divinity has better quest design, story, dialog, humour, open skill system, no respawning opponents, unlimited storage options...

Amazing Game - Reccommended!!

Divine Divinity a good game, still after 10 years...

Do you know what?

Gameplay is in the range of 50-100 hours, depending on how much exploring you do, side quests and game difficulty. The beginning can be challenging even on normal difficulty, though it does tend to get a little easier as it progresses. The survivor class would be more challenging that warrior or mage, though any character can learn any skill.
@Raze so it controls like Diablo 2? or at least simmilair enough? like just point and click and attack enemies? i played Baldur's Gate for a bit and that confused me though since i am a RPG player from this generation and not the one before ^^ but i would like to expand to older games :D

basically in baldurs gate, if you are a new player...

go in the options and set to where the game auto pauses when you encounter a new enemy.

then when you encounter baddies, you assign every member of your party an action.

baldurs gate lets you micro-manage every aspect of combat. so it's all about frequently hitting pause and adjusting what certain members of your party are doing at any given moment

Yes, in Divine Divinity you just point and click to attack opponents. You can also hold the Ctrl key down and click to attack the opponent closest to your mouse cursor. For movement you can left click on the ground to have your character walk/run there, or left click and hold to have your character move in the direction of the cursor.

Tips and Tactics.
hmm..alright,its like 5 bucks anyway so if i dont like it its not like i will be set back a ton ^^ buying it right now :D thanks for the advise ^^
played it for a bit and LOVING it :D the voices in this game are so amazing xD while Diablo was very serious this game is a bit more humerous and i like that :D took me a while to figure out the trading(i gave some stuff away apparently because you also need to select the amount of gold you want for it and that is in the person's inventroy with the rest ^^
but i like it,i am defenitly going to play through this for a bit,and the fact you can move pretty much anything is a really nice twist to loot searching :D
In the trade window there is a scale icon at the top for each side, which will automatically add/remove gold to equal the value of the items on the other side (up to the available amount of gold).

Exploration and world interaction is well done in DD. Awhile after I finished playing I tried the demo for an aRPG (don't recall the name), and was disappointed that most of the chests were just part of the background and could not be interacted with. My hopes were raised when I found a large pentagram in a house with candles at each of the corners, but that too was just painted background, and I quit and uninstalled the demo.

also get beyond divinity
its an original game i like physics engine a lot, although this game is kinda weird..id recommend you watching some gameplays first before buying this game..
I'm glad that we could share the love with you. This is a truly wonderful game, great soundtrack, stellar writing, near-pristine gameplay... Diablo 2 was a good hack-n-slash but for total immersion I'd have to go with Divine Divinity. I'd say not to bother with Beyond Divinity, though. It just can't compete.

Another soul conquered by larian studios! yay!
I know this is subjective but, to me, the game hast one of the best soundtracks ever. Somewhere alongside Diablo 1 and Fallout 1/2.

Yeah, the soundtrack is really great! Also, the graphics are really neat for the period, it's not like Planescape that literally hurts your eyes!
