a not-grave matter
Raze, a question to you.
You see, back when DD was new one of polish companies game us polish version. Now, with steam/gog/retail version polish dialogues are no more.
Using old files i was able to make one for private purpose. However, my question is:
Am i allowed make a FAQ and post it here on steam about how to make such "improvement"? Or rather not?

I don't really see any problem about it, however i want to be sure.

Yes, go ahead. I don't know what Steam's policy is on modifying single player games, but Larian would not mind. Back when DD was new I helped a couple people in the Larian forum trying to translate the game after buying a non-English version by mistake (ie replacing a few files and editing the registry to install the English CD patch).

Oh ffs, something is blocking me from making it in proper section. I can post it here though so it's not THAT much of a problem. I have steam version on my account though the game is not installed (however i have no itention of installing it now, too much downloading and i have retail version ready to serve :D).
Any ideas?

So you tried to use the 'create your own' link in the Guides section?

The Google translation of 'Spolszczenie' is 'crack' so maybe Steam filters guides based on certain key words? If you got to a point where you could submit your guide before you were blocked, try again using the equivalent of 'Polish translation for', rather than 'Spolszczenie'.

wha... that's nice way to translate... That may be the case.

EDIT: After checking... nope, that's not the problem here.
It says "item not found" after i try to post.
here's the pic: http://oi58.tinypic.com/24512t1.jpg
It looks like it tries to search instead of creating guide. Am i doing something wrong?

1) clicking "guides" section
2) selecting "create guide" in the middle right panel
3) following steps to create guide
4) clicking "save and continue".
And it shows me error from the pic.

I don't know... did you try from a different browser?

Yep, same effect.

I think it's about owning and installing steam version of the game, stam doesn't let you post guide if it thinks you don't own the game. I have my steam copy, though not installed, because i'm playing using retail version. Well, i'll try and install through steam and try to post guide later, when i have some more free time for that and tell results.
