Crash on start in Windows 8

Just bought the game to give it a try, but it crashes immediately on Windows 8. Tried to run it as an admin and in compatibility mode, that didn't do the trick.

Help?

Fixed it. I reinstalled Flash and I used these drivers for my ATI 4850. AMD decided that it should support older hardware on Windows 8 . http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/catalystlegacywin8.aspx

Fliepke's link to the AMD website above made this game launch AND the "Towns Demo" which never worked before as well. HOLEY MOLEY! I will let Steam Support know this is a fix for multiple "download but crash upon launch" games. Did not even require a reinstall of Flash; just a quick patch and good to go.

The site updated the AMD processors I have. Using a "franken-computer" I have to make sure all my devices drivers are up-to-date manually sometimes. Are you running any mid-to-low shelf or otherwise obsure hardware?

I have Windows 7 64-bit and it crashes on start up. I hear some music on a white windowed screen and bam, crash.
