Fireproof containers don't do anything?

I turned a container into fireproof with a platinum material hammer and the very first time a fire ability hit me it destroyed all 5 scrolls of return i have

Do i need to use a material hammer on EACH SCROLL to stop this from happening? seems a bit dumb

So you have a platinum material hammer but don't know about fireproof blankets?

Fireproof containers are protected from burning up. The container, not the contents. Fireproof blankets protect other items, or you can get 15+ fire res and be immune to all fire related item destruction.
