The left key is stuck all the time

I boot up my game, and then the little selector thing keeps on going up as if the left key is stuck. I tried unplugging my mouse, my keyboard, redownloading, checking integrity of game cache, but nothing works. Is there a fix for this?

I have this issue as well. It's hard to enjoy a game when you can't stand still to get rid of enemies.

I have discovered a workaround! If you are using a usb keyboard, unplug it and plug it into a different slot. Plugging it into the same slot will just cause the left key to be "stuck" again.

Doesn't work for me. Playing on a laptop - touchpad is disabled. :/

Guys, i think i've found it. There seems to be a problem with our computers and games created in game maker, one of them being super crate box. I also have this problem in spelunky, which, well, is created in game maker. So far no fixes :(

I tried it.... With my USB xbox 360 gampad. The game doesn't even recognise it.

If anyone is still looking for a solution, I half-way solved mine:

Each time I started up Super Crate Box, the menu wouldn't strop scrolling even though I wasn't hitting any keys. Then if I could start the game, the character would always move to the left. I could control him with the aroow keys, but he'd always move left as default.

I SOLVED THIS ON MY LAPTOP:

I have bluetooth on here and discovered 4 bluetooth Human interface devices on my device manager. I disabled all 4 of them and that soved the problem.

it's odd because the bluetooth wasn't even on and the devices weren't registering.

Anyway, that fixed my moving problem, but I still can't use my 360 controller and the gamepad option is greyed out. So I don't know about that.

FOUND A SOLUTION.

I opened start menu
typed in "game controller"
clicked on "Set up USB game controllers"
selected my controller and clicked "advanced"
set my preferred device to my controller.

IT WORKS NOW! woot.

Though, some aren't playing with a controller, but with the keyboard. Nothing a hard reboot can't fix.
