Failed to load the game data. File seems corrupted.
Topic name says it all. Also get it with the nosteam version from their site. Standard troubleshooting followed with no result. Windows 7 x64. Anyone got a solution for this?

You can try removing the save-files. You can find all the game files usually in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\supercratebox
crates110.sav is your data but I don't know where crates1.sav is for.

At first, backup your save-files to somewhere else.
Then delete the file crates1.sav. Start the game and I think it will make a new file. If it doesn't solve the problem, remove also crates110.sav. Launch the game again and it will make a new save-file.

If this doesn't work, you can copy a new file to your game folder and remove crates1.sav:
New file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56804001/crates110.sav

Good luck!

Wow, you sir are a genius! I have never been able to launch the game and thus never had a save-file, but actually putting a savefile in the folder seems to have fixed my problem. Thank you!

I was having the same problem and the above fix did not work for me. This error message seems to be a general issue with GameMaker games. The weird thing is that is can be related to printer drivers. I have read that you can temporarily fix the issue by stopping the Print Spooler service in Windows. In my case, the problem was magically fixed after installing drivers for an HP printer.
