1) Go to your Steam library and create desktop shortcut for the game.
2) Open Notepad.
3) Add the following text (the file path could be different for you so double-check):
Start "" "steam://rungameid/212800" -refresh=75
4) Save as scb.bat and change the save as type to 'All files'.
5) Double-click the .bat file and enjoy the game!
Optional: Delete the shortcut you created earlier from your desktop.
No problem, but here's an even simpler solution:
1) Go to your Steam library and right-click supercratebox
2) Select 'properties', and then click 'Set launch options...'
3) Add the following line, and click okay:
-refresh 75
Note: This fix does not work with gamepads (Xbox controller), unfortunately.
so yea.
Try running Steam as administrator and then going through each step again.
I'm confused. Open notepad for what??
There might be some better solutions for this by now.
Go into the nvidia control panel and head into the manage 3d settings tab.
Locate the SCB exe file (usually found in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\supercratebox" but could be elsewhere depending on where you install your games.)
Change the preferred graphics processor to the nvidia graphics card (if it isn't default already)
Go into the settings area below and change the max frame rate to 60fps and that should fix the issue!
This worked perfectly. I couldn't find the setting to change my preferred graphics processor to the nvidia graphics card, but I'm guessing mine already was because it worked anyway.
After changing the settings to max out at 60fps it's working great.
I also found out that lowering the fps makes the game slower lmaooo
but thank you very much for going out of your way to create a solution and then share it with the community you absolute king.
go to the game folder and open up options.ini
change AlternateSyncMethod=1 to 0
