Other than that, it's probably time to do some maintenance, as the issue describe are caused by the OS, not the game.
No, it's not. This problem is well documented with the latest build. I didn't get any hang like that prior to the most recent patch and now I get exactly the same hang as the OP describes. And no, it's not called loading.
lmao
Love this game, is always user fault, ssg never make mistakes XD
Unless you're buying extended support, end of life was back in 2015. Yes, Windows 7 is obsolete.
If the game stops working on Windows 7, it's because you're running an ancient OS, that's no longer worth supporting.
But blame it on SSG, why don't you.
If you have an update to download before you logged in, that could make the loading slower. Maybe if you moved LOTRO directory to a SSD, you could speed the load times up. Make sure the drive that LOTRO is on is defragmented and that your active anti-malware defenses are Not scanning LOTRO as it is loading.
Well you could try puting this in the properties of the steam link of LOTRO > Set Launch Options button: " -invoker -nosplash -skiprawdownload "
Lmao, LOTRO is an ancient game, it was made back when Windows XP was still a thing.
OK, first off, MS is still publishing updates, so even though they don't sell it anymore, it's not obsolete. Second, the game still lists it as a supported OS, so even if it were obsolete, the game should still work in Win7. Blaming the OS is a really lazy, completely unhelpful response to a known bug from the last update.
OP - try lowering your graphics settings and reloading the game. If that gets rid of the black screen, switch back to your usual settings. Failing that, updating your graphics drivers might help.
