No sarcasm intended, I appreciate this.
Thanks for letting us voice our grievances and please note that despite our sarcasm, snarkiness, and dissappointment, most of us really do want you guys to succeed, we just don't all express it the same.
Respect.
Didn't really need to go all that far...
I can't remove myself from moderation without removing myself as a dev of Starbound, which I can't do because I need to publish the game and such.
So I banned myself to put at least one more thing between me and moderation tools, I can unban myself, sure, but it's the best I can do considering the situation.
Brb banning self again.
After what he did tonight I'd say he did. People became critical of the developers of Starbound because of them not being able to keep their own promises that they chose to make and what does he do? He takes it out on the consumers who have purchased and supported his game.
As someone who doesn't purchase early access games but was tempted to buy this many different times I can say he lost at least one customer in me from letting it reach this point. People need to realize most people who behave like that lose their job, or at the very least get harshly reprimanded
Oh well. No harm, no foul. Apology accepted, everyone has those moments and it`s nice to see people owning up to it instead of rationalizing and justifying.
You don't really need to ban yourself. I mean, you can unban yourself at any time, so... sort of defeats the point anyway, right?
Just try not using your abilities when you're already stressed/pissed off, and everything should be A-OK. Seriously. Have a cigarette or a coffee or punch a baby, just whatever you need to do to calm down, then come back.
This.
As much as i respect the charecter of the omi dev guy for turning around and saying he is genuinly sorry ect.... you cant fly off the handle when dealing with the public/customers/punters.
I work with the public in my job... and there is almost nothing worse than working with the public.. more often than not the customer is wrong as much as people wont like to hear that.
But you cant ever ever just go off at them or kick off. People lose their jobs for that kind of behavour.
And let's not dismiss the therapeutic benefits of baby punching! You'll never know unless you try it!
